Retrofit and extension of waste collection systems in Malmi hospital, Helsinki during 2012 - 2013
MetroTaifun® Systems in the hospital extension handle both waste and laundry, and the system installed in the existing building is partly also retrofit. The system’s small flexible waste pipes and flexible pipe layouts allow the MetroTaifun® piping to be easily installed into the existing and sometimes unaccommodating irregularities in buildings’ infrastructures.
The compactor-container arrangement is installed as an “inout” version, where the compactors are installed inside and the containers outside the building.
MariMatic is responsible for the design and construction of the retrofit and extension of Malmi hospital systems, which have been in operation since 2013.
